Manipulating OpenFlow flows via the REST API and the HP VAN SDN Controller

In this video, David demonstrates the use of a simple bash script to update flow table entries on OpenFlow switches using the RESTful API and the HP VAN SDN Controller. The HP Controller supports both Java and RESTful northbound APIs. The southbound API protocol used in this example is OpenFlow 1.0.

OpenFlow: HP VAN SDN Controller and Mininet integration

This video demonstrates OpenFlow integration between the HP VAN SDN Controller and Mininet. The HP Controller is an SDN controller that supports OpenFlow version 1.0 and 1.3. Mininet allows for easy learning and testing of and OpenFlow network emulated on a PC. This is similar in concept to GNS3 or HP Simware.
